All land in this region is fill, from 1970's. the liquifaction potential of the entire site, the location of much of the critically important govt and business interests for entire BVI, is a matter of serious concern.

parking lot to North, generator to East, Hotel (visible in right corner) and access roads to West make these options unsuitable for free field
|
Admin Bding : View from North.
barely visible in center part of picture is a 2 story open walkway through the building. Potentially a weakness during strong dynamic motion, could crack and prevent building from moving as one piece.

View from SW, near shore.
acess road betwen hotel and building is clearly visible. Jose and Jason are looking West towards the Hospital and Emergency Managment Building. To extreme right is location of proposed strong motion site, near this shear wall. Location is 17m from structure. Between building and shore (~30m distance)runs a small access road, rarely used.
